Hi, this blog was set up after we quit our jobs and sold our house for a campervan in 2006 in the search for a better work life balance and a greener lifestyle - a liberating work in progress! We took some time out in the beautiful hills of the UK and completed a sponsored walk/backpack from Land's End to John O'Groats before working at Forest Holidays then later as freelance rangers. Go Ape again
Oh no, I had to do Go Ape again, always scary but fun, especially with good company to spur you on! Our friends from Portsmouth, Kerrie and Mick and their son Clayton did the high wire course with us. Great to see them after so long, so it was really sad when they had to go back home :-(
Ooh, if anyone does the tarzan swing at the end of course 5, don't do it no handed like Mick did who nearly did a 360, ouch!

Bluebell Forests and Broom
All around us are bluebells, it's amazing! Here are just a couple of the views.
Also, broom petals are out and ready to eat! Tastes just like fresh peas so a great wild food. Be careful not to eat anything else on broom though, it's poisonous; it does make a good broom for sweeping but witches use the poison to fly, don't try this at home kids!
