Flower Power

Amazing flaura all of a sudden, so loads to talk about on our ranger walks. Lots of marsh orchids around stank glen behind the cabin site and fox and cubs everywhere.

Marvelous Moths and Dragon Flies

Lots of moths and things out and about now around the campsite. Unfortunately that means midges too :-0

Bluebell Forests and Broom

All around us are bluebells, it's amazing! Here are just a couple of the views.

Also, broom petals are out and ready to eat! Tastes just like fresh peas so a great wild food. Be careful not to eat anything else on broom though, it's poisonous; it does make a good broom for sweeping but witches use the poison to fly, don't try this at home kids!

Amazing Trees

An interesting holly tree at Rowardennan near Loch Lomond, and a mighty douglas fir near our campsite in Aberfoyle.

Loch Lomond

Mum came up to visit whilst on a coach trip and we joined her on a boat trip on Loch lomond.

Ben Lomond

Went up Ben Lomond at last after seeing it on the horizon for so long. Lovely day, but ridiculously windy on the way up. A relief on the top though as there were no gusts, which was just as well considering the drop!

Our Red Squirrel Camping Spot

This is where we are living at the moment. Cobleland Campsite has an amazing relaxing atmosphere, plus there's lots of birds, red squirrels and wild foods ;-). Here's the red squirrel that likes to visit most days. Lesley and Graham were lucky enough to see two kittens bounding about in the forest behind us. Grey's not welcome here!!
