Pine Marten

At long last, we've seen a Pine Marten. Managed to stay in one of the cabins where folk see them most, but not until the second night at 1:15am! He stayed for a while licking off the peanut butter, but hard to get a good shot through the glass.

Ochil Hills

Brilliant month for snow :-). Thought we'd go to some different hills, avalanche risk was high though so didn't go too far!
Mmm, tasty gorse flowers...

Fortingall Yew Tree

Here is the oldest living thing in Europe, if not the world. It's about 5000 years old!

Snowy Sunsets

A perfect day, but we weren't smiling when we spent half the next day digging ourselves out of the campsite to go back to work! We miss our landy!!!

Perfect Skies and snow holes....

Walkies

Daisy will be nice and tired tonight after bounding through the snow :-)
Cairn Gorm in the distance.

Deep Snow

Loch Morlich and lots of snow!

Scots Pine

I just love the Scots Pine up here!! The snow fell and fell and a branch snapped off just skimming our van with all the weight of the snow.

Back to the Cairngorms

After falling in love with Glenmore on our travels, we returned again in the search of a bit more snow - and we got it! Had a wonder up towards Bynack Mor but didn't quite get to the top.

Here's the view across to Shepherd's Hill.
